Sanja Zadro was born in 1988 in Mostar. She attended the undergraduate programme (2007 – 2010) and graduate programme (2010 – 2012) in Art History and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University in Zagreb. After earning her MA degree in 2012, she enrolled in the doctoral programme in Art History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University in Zagreb and defended her doctoral dissertation on 3 October 2017. Her doctoral research was conducted as part of the project Croatia and Central Europe: Art and Politics in the Late Modern Period (1780-1945), funded by Croatian Science Foundation. Topic of her doctoral dissertation, written under the supervision of Dragan Damjanović, PhD, associate professor, was Architectural History of Mostar from 1850 until the Second World War.
During the field work and archival research, she participated in several international scientific conferences and published several papers related to the architectural history of Mostar (late 19th and early 20th century) and the problems of historical preservation in Bosnia and Herzegovina nowadays.
